[there's so much damage bECAUSE THAT'S WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU TAKE HIS FUCKING ASSISTANT AWAYYYY scien looks like a fucking mess because of course he does. hair down, clothes rumpled, expression harried even though we all just fucking woke up. truly a pet hamster left to fend for himself.
the emotions are bad!! they still aren't true emotions, almost manufactured versions of them, but they swirl and linger. bewilderment, dissatisfaction, frustration - but it all pales in comparison to this odd, uncharacteristic anger. it grows and grows inside of him before it suddenly stalls. stops. disappears. and then just starts to build all over again.]

The next score is only a little above his last. The next attempt is actually quite quickly behind, but it's about the same. Then there is an extended break.

[blanket memshare catching starter that i'm throwing into everyone's catchalls let me know if you want to start with a memory or i will!! this is so lazy but i'm assuming we're all writing the memories right now woohoo]
[Scien is walking into one of the Belly labs, and then suddenly, something swallows him, and he is instead following someone he has never seen before. The hallway has a mild reminiscence of the Institute actually. Clean, orderly, a bit of the design flare of wealth.
Ahead of him is a brown-skinned woman in a high ponytail and a white skirted uniform. She's walking with purpose, her heels clicking on the floor, her arms hugged a clipboard and a journal to her chest.
She's talking aloud to herself as she goes:]]
"Viktor, I've been working on a... private project for a couple of weeks now..." Mm, no. "Viktor"-- [with a bit more confidence this time almost as she reaches a large door at the end]--"I've been working on this for a year now"... [She pushes her glasses up as she goes through.] "Viktor, I was hoping you might take a look at something I've been working on"...

scien isn't an idiot about recognizing emotions, even though he doesn't feel all too strongly about them. so instead he'll follow after, keeping his footsteps quiet. he does so less out of curiosity, and more because he wants to get the fuck out of here.
[Both brows go up because he can't believe Scien is accosting him, of all people, but then when he finds out what it's about........ This tracks.]
...I'm not sure what it's called. I saw one in the Rec Room before I died, so I recognized it in the garbage.
[He is also a stupid ass weird nerd who likes puzzles, so he still has it. He gestures to it on a work bench. All of the colors have been jumbled up. He does not ask if Scien wants to try. All he offers is:]
My fastest time so far is one minute and thirty-seven seconds.
He is startled, of course, and isn't expecting it, so his arms scramble to try catching it without dropping it. He drops it once or twice before getting it before it hits the ground.]
but auction items are unlocked :) which means that in the stasis bay, where scien had been spending a solid amount of his time, he's looking at the now glowing, active, awake reliver machine. it thrums with a foreboding energy and scien is at one of the monitors, running a diagnostics check. when viktor walks in, scien's expression turns a bit more wary]
I will break you if you act out.
[thanks scien. but he won't immediately usher viktor out at least]
He sort of freezes in surprise at the entrance, like he understands he has walked in on something he maybe should not see even if he quickly has a rise of curiosity.
He comes in only to not stand in the door, but does not go much farther than that for the moment.]

The vibe and the look is he is going somewhere, but he has to double-take at Scien and veer off course.]

scien will look over at it, and then he's going to just announce:]
I'm going to try. You have until I pick it up to refuse.

week 4, friday
so he will just go to wherever viktor is]
Any adverse effects since coming back?
[he doesn't expect any but whereas he's sure dahut might've mentioned it to him, he's not so confident with viktor]
no subject
He pauses for just a second at Scien's question and then............. unfortunately attempts to mug Scien with his cane.]
no subject
scien should be able to dodge this but the dice say 6 so viktor can get one hard whack in
even though scien will then also try to grab the cane and twist it out of viktor's hand because he's more combat capable than you'd think]
