Just find me later... You don't need to come here for it.
[keep viktor away from his tech right after scien performs a miracle it's so risky]
You can't keep inviting yourself to temptation. If you want me to fix you, wait. You won't even be able to keep the love that took you so long to admit to.
[He will probably end up leaving coffee and some snacks by the door ANYWAY because that's unfortunately just how EMOTIONS work for people who can feel them, it's very terrible. But he at least won't hang around.]
I will find you sometime later then. [...] Are you really prepared to test... having emotions?
I am. It has been my intention for some time, since Dahut and I spoke of it in early weeks. I simply didn't expect a chance to run the experiment before going back to Arpéchéle...
However, in the end, Relivers are meant to offer an opportunity at humanity. And I suppose... humanity is incomplete without its full range of feelings, however inconvenient they may be at times.
To be honest, I was never a particular emotive person even before I became a Reliver... So while I'm sure I'll have more than I do currently, I don't anticipate a big change.
It wasn't cowardice. It was... consideration. Which, I'm sure, is not a word in your vocabulary when it comes to most things. The notion may jump on some people at once, but... sometimes, it can be a slow thing.
I feel as if shifting from being a god to a man is going to be an adjustment, but I can't say I'm not intrigued to see the process. For science.
...I don't know if that is quite true; however, even if it is, you will now hopefully have plenty of time to find things to cherish deeply. And then I can say you are foolish for rushing inside of a building to stop your lover from sacrificing themselves to save thousands of others.
[that was such a long ago conversation and scien remembers it through tipsy goggles but listen]
He'd be such a pain in the ass moping about it if he was responsible for that many people dying. [please be nice] I just wouldn't let him endure it alone.
The metaphor falls apart because I don't think your lover would, but would you stop him in the same scenario?
[The first part is a sentiment Viktor can understand actually. It's easy to get caught up in enduring things alone after always being alone, whether it was self-imposed or environmental.
But then realizing you don't have to endure things alone actually, both love and pain and even the end.]
...I would try at least. What he wanted to do is up to him, in the end, but I would try so that he would know how much he really means to me. That a world without him in it... isn't a world worth living in. I know that's pretty selfish.

[He makes a face again slightly. WHY ARE THERE SO MANY FREAKS HERE!!!]
Is Dahut going to be helping you?
no subject
I don't believe I'll need an assistant for this one, though I don't mind...
no subject
At least let him be present. You should be careful. Don't tinker without a watch, not here. Your loss might as well be a dent in what we can do.
[THE BRAIN POWER WILL GO DOWN BY, LIKE, 30% OR MORE.]

no subject
Oh. I understand.
[A glance at the machine so he can pretend he didn't, like, say something STUPIDLY CONCERNED in front of God (literal) and everyone.]
Should I bring coffee when I come back in the morning then?
no subject
Why are you coming back.

I'm... not coming to look at your work. [This is so amusing to him.] I'm coming to drop off coffee and make sure neither of you are dead.
[He doesn't think either of them will be dead. It's the vibe of walking up to see if they're suffering immensely and need help.]
no subject
Neither of us will die. And even if we do, we can just have normal Reliver bodies.

This news makes his laugh. It's, like, a short one that is surprised out of him, but then when he hears it, he starts laughing more.]
Sorry, it's just... going to be strange if you have them. I don't know if I like it.
[Teasing.]

[once a bitch always a bitch]

You better be careful. You might just fall in love.
no subject
Well, I plan to.
no subject
You... plan to fall in love?
no subject
Unlike you, I don't plan on unnecessarily keeping my lover waiting out of cowardice.
no subject
It wasn't cowardice. It was... consideration. Which, I'm sure, is not a word in your vocabulary when it comes to most things. The notion may jump on some people at once, but... sometimes, it can be a slow thing.
Love.
no subject
[which is when scien jumped in. but regardless...]
I am not in love. This version of me will never be in love. It would be a grotesque, disastrous, fatal thing if I allowed it to happen.
But I will be. I don't know if it will be in days after I repair my heart, or months, likely not years... but it is inevitable.
no subject
If he's surprised, he doesn't show it really.]
Love will find a way, yes. I suppose it will come even for the great god, Scien Brofiise. [This is a tease.] There are different kinds, you know.
Maybe you are already in love without knowing it, just not the kind we were discussing.
no subject
I rather think that I am done being a god... I can still do plenty as a man.
[but he tilts his head when he gets to viktor's main point]
I would not say so... I do not think there is anything I cherish so deeply.
no subject
