[ he's steered over to one of the stalls, reluctantly setting viktor on his feet so he can get a better look at its wares, as he cranes down so he can peruse too. being tall means he can see the end of the stalls from the beginning of them, but also that he has to stoop all the time.
[He shifts to make it easier for Sidon to place him back on his feet, a little unsteady for a second, but then he's fine. Eagerly, he shifts up to the edge of the stall and surveys all of the food laid out.
A lot of it looks pretty good? Nothing too weird, though there is an occasional very weird cuisine peppered into the mix, skewered to a stick, or sitting in a foil tub. There's some fried fish jabbed through the gills and through the tail by bamboo, too.]

Nothing really pings him as close to dank Undercity food, not until something catches the corner of his eye as he glances away. He double-takes.] There's...! [He scrambles down the stall after it.]
anyway, there's really such a variety now that there's other people to write locations besides six nerds in a t-shirt. he's picking out one of the bamboo skewers with a curious little fin ruffle, but—in that amount of time, off he goes. he zoom. ]

[ viktor can be quick when he wants to be, damn? he hurries after him, looking over the new stall. ]
The delicacies of this stall are a little...... of an acquired taste. A chunk of it is raw, some of it is slimy, and one or two are still moving.
He points to a large tub full of golden sauce, and floating inside of it are... blue slugs? worms? No, on closer inspection, they look like slices of bright blue fish meat.]
That. There is only one person who can make it the best in the Undercity.

[ he takes some skewers from a cup to the side, and stabs one, two pieces of fish. the wriggly ones, because anyone who isn't silly enough to be grossed out knows that those would be freshest. he offers one to viktor. ]

He clinks their sticks together gently like it's a toast, and then he turns it so he can bite it with no hesitation and slide it off the stick into his mouth. The blue fish and the golden sauce look absolutely disgusting, but the taste is very good shockingly. Tender and juicy, and the sauce is tangy, like ginger.]
[ wow backtags! can you believe this was all in the same week. anyway, it's fine, the fish are dead...... ]
Like me? [ he looks so unduly excited. the way there's not even another zora that looks like a shark. help. ] I wish I could meet him!

Viktor—this is delicious!? [ it's the closest thing to a taste from home that he's tried. he's reeling. ] I was beginning to doubt I'd ever taste anything good again...
[ he just hasn't complained about it because there's so much worse to deal with than food, but. also, the food sucks. ]

A lot of people are scared to try it. They think it looks disgusting, or... they're worried it's polluted because it's from the Undercity. But it isn't. It's one of the few things not polluted.
