[DILUC... forces him to also be at the bar even though he likes grape juice
The two of them can just be exploring... At least, Viktor is definitely exploring rather than sitting and drinking. His pace is slow because he's walking with the crutch he didn't have before, but he actually doesn't look (or stand) as bad as he had back in the stasis pod room.]
Ah, I'm sorry. I didn't know anyone else was in here...
[ UR SO RIGHT ANNA! puts diluc in your hands u write my tags now pwease
diluc isn't drinking himself, however he is inspecting the various bottles behind the bar, and glances up when he notices company. he probably vaguely remembers viktor from the stasis room—there had been many of them, and also a giant shark man. ]
No need to apologize. This is a shared space—unless you were seeking privacy.
[ none of the bottles immediately in front of diluc are alcoholic (makes mocktails even tho he's drinking age), however they probably have (yuul voice) 120% sugar, which is also the devil ]
I see. [ viktor :( ] Were you hoping to find something else here?
Well, if I'm honest, I've never seen many of these rooms onboard an airship, so they are all pretty interesting. But I haven't run across anything strange. The... simulation room maybe?
It's the same for me. Of all the rooms, this one feels the most familiar. [ booze... ] Though, I've probably spent the most time on the observation deck thus far. [ space... ]
[ he huffs quietly in agreement. ]
It can be. Thankfully I do have capable help.
...Are you sure you wouldn't like something to drink? [ his sickly victorian complexion... ] There are non-alcoholic options here as well.
[One side of his mouth lifts a bit, then falls with consideration.]
...Alright. Sure. Something without alcohol.
[He will just watch Diluc work.]
The observation deck is pretty nice. I didn't realize space could be so... beautiful, yet so dark and lonely. Even though I've seen it plenty of times from the ground.
[ diluc nods, and rolls his sleeves back as he starts to prepare viktor's drink. he makes sure whatever ingredient bottles he uses are kept in plain sight. ]
...I agree. It does feel different when you're drifting in a sea of stars. ...Isolating. I can't yet decide if there's any comfort in its depth and beauty, or only coldness.
[ in the meantime, he pours a mixture of apple cider, ginger ale, and a dash of lemon into a tall glass, and slides it over to viktor. ]
This is somewhat similar to a popular drink we serve at the tavern, for those looking to sober up at the end of the night.
[ restores 26% of Max HP to the selected character and regenerates 570 HP every 5s for 30s. (jk) ]
[Making drinks is... like chemistry in a way. He isn't a chemist necessarily, but it's still a sort of science, and so he's very interested watching Diluc work with the liquids.]
Coldness can be beautiful sometimes. Deadly if not respected, but... beautiful.
[He leans over the glass to look inside, and then he pulls it close so he can have a sniff and a sip. His brows lift. ALSO, HE REALLY NEEDS THOSE BUFFS, HELLO. Don't (jk).]
It's... pretty good. You are a master of your craft.
You're right. I suppose it's about awareness, and not just awe.
[ IF ONLY HE COULD MAKE BUFFING FOOD ITEMS HERE... anyway the compliment draws a very faint smile from him. ]
'Pretty good' sounds hardly content. If you've any suggestions, I'm open to them.
[ he's playing around with semantics, but also not disingenuous. one can't improve without concrit, after all. da vikky can leave a kudo and a comment. ]
[As someone not a drinker, not a culinary worker, and not a chemist, he isn't sure if he has the credentials to be giving someone like Diluc advice on drinks... (his thoughts)]
I understand. I haven't acquired the taste for it, I guess. Thank you, though.

Viktor carefully picks his way over to thr other side of the counter, still looking around, not sitting.]
I just didn't want to intrude on yours. [Privacy.] See anything good?
no subject
Not at all. [ intruding.
diluc gestures in the general vicinity of the bottles with a nod. ]
Mm. They seem to have quite the variety, here. Would you like anything to drink?
[ the question comes out automatically. customer service reflex. ]
no subject
No, I'm alright. I don't really drink. My, ah... health is already bad enough.
no subject
I see. [ viktor :( ] Were you hoping to find something else here?
[ man walks into a bar... ]
no subject
Not exactly. Just exploring. Seeing what's open to us and what isn't, I guess. Are you... running the bar?
no subject
Ah. Getting the lay of the land. [ ('land') ] Have you found any particular areas of interest?
...Practicing, you could say. I own a tavern back home.

Oh? I imagine that's a handful.

Sorry, no. It's... I don't think I've ever had anything like it before, so it's new.
[Sometimes, you are a nerd who stays holed up in a lab. That's fine.]
It's not bad at all. The alcohol completely changes the taste of the drink, I imagine.
no subject
No need to apologize.
[ he recognizes he is the one giving viktor a hard time, at least... ]
I'm glad to hear it. Should you ever find yourself in need of a beverage, feel free to ask. I'd be happy to improve my repertoire.
[ he nods at the mention of alcohol, expression shifting slightly. ] It does. I'm not very partial to it, myself.

Alcohol has its uses, but you're far from the only one who doesn't partake.
[ despite owning a winery he is so biased... anyway, he gives viktor a cordial nod. ]
My pleasure.
